15 Natural Antibacterials and Antibiotics

Having these natural antibiotics on hand will ensure you have something to turn to when infections and diseases occur.

1. Garlic

Garlic is one of the best natural antibiotics out there. The active compound, allicin, gives garlic its potent antimicrobial action. Studies have found that garlic is effective against many Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria including resistant strains of E-coli. Eat your garlic raw as allicin gets destroyed by cooking.

2. Oil of Oregano

Oil of oregano is so effective it has been the focus of over 800 studies. Oil of oregano helps control multiple types of harmful pathogens, bacteria, fungi and yeast. Treat oil of oregano like a full-spectrum antibiotic, so be careful with use and always use a probiotic.

3. Colloidal Silver

Colloidal silver has been shown to treat antibiotic-resistant superbugs, which are nearly untreatable by modern medicine. To assist your immune system over the long term, a teaspoon of C.S under your tongue and hold it there for 30 seconds before swallowing. 5. Goldenseal

Goldenseal enhances the immune system by increasing antigen-specific antibody production. Studies have confirmed that it’s an effective way to treat antibiotic-resistant bacteria like MRSA. Goldenseal makes a powerful duo when combined with echinacea.

6. Manuka Honey

Manuka honey’s natural antibiotic qualities make it a great medicine for any bacteria-related disorder. Manuka honey down-regulates the genes of the MRSA bacteria. Using Manuka honey on cuts and other infections can keep MRSA at bay.

15. Pau D’Arco
